Yoshioka Riho, born January 15, 1993, is an actress and model. Born in Uzumasa, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto city (where famous Toei Kyoto Studio Park is also situated), and influenced by the family that runs video-related business, Yoshioka grew up being familiar with various forms of arts and culture - film, stage, Kabuki, Noh, Japanese dance, classical music and Rakugo.

At the age of 18, Yoshioka was invited by her friend at Doshisha University to a small theater and became absorbed to acting. From then on, she participated in multiple indie projects, and received her first ever screen appearance as an extra in "Tenchi: The Samurai Astronomer". Since the majority of TV drama and movies are produced in Tokyo, she decided to go to Tokyo and enrolled at a performing arts school. At the same time, she also enrolled at Faculty of Japanese Language and Literature, Kyoto Tachibana University, specializing in calligraphy. Hence, she spent on round trips between Kyoto and Tokyo to pursue both of her calligraphy studies and acting activities. Upon her graduation from Kyoto Tachibana University in 2015, Yoshioka moved to Tokyo to establish herself as a full-fledged actress.

Yoshioka's movie debut came in 2015 with "Mango and the Red Wheelchair". It was her role as Tamura Nobu in 2015 Asadora "Asa ga Kita", portraying as a friend of Chiyo (daughter of the heroine Asa), made her recognized by the general audience. In 2016, Yoshioka was cast as supporting characters for Kudo Kankuro's drama "Yutori Desu ga Nani ka", and followed by "Death Cash" and "Medical Team: Lady Da Vinci no Shindan". Her impressive performance in the next project "Quartet" won her "Best Supporting Actress" at the 92nd Television Drama Academy Award, and elevated her status in the entertainment industry. Since then, she began landing main roles in the renzoku dramas and multiple movies.

In 2017, Yoshioka was voted the "Top actress who made a breakthrough this year" after being chosen as number one among every age group polled by Oricon. The same year, she was also chosen as VOGUE JAPAN Women of the Year 2017. She is also the recipient of a "2018 Newcomer of the Year" award from the 42nd annual Elan d'Or Awards. In 2020, she won "Newcomer of the Year" award at the 43rd Japan Academy Film Prize for her works in "Parallel World Love Story" and "Blind Witness".
